• The New Yorker: Arts & Entertainment of New York City

Open to ALL Ontario High School Students!

      New York City

Explore the multitude of arts, events, and attractions that embody New York City! This interdisciplinary program teaches students to think outside of the traditional classroom lens and see how English, History, and The Arts are all intertwined. All three subjects will come alive in the city that never sleeps!

On this trip, students are immersed into the timeless art scene of New York City with evening entertainment that only exists in this magical city. Keep your eye out for the next Ella Fitzgerald or Stevie Wonder while attending Amateur Night at the famed Apollo Theater, a historical treasure that continues to dominate the world of performance art. Then dance the night away with a live performance at the Cotton Club where legendary jazz musician Tom Jones tuned up with the house band!

Dive into the artistic paradise of all five boroughs. Gaze upon the artistic masterpieces of Van Gogh, Dali and Picasso at the Museum of Modern Art, and see artistic wonders from across the globe at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Let your dreams of Hollywood come to life through an experiential workshop for film and television at the Museum of Moving Image in Queens.

End your New York experience under the bright lights of Broadway! See the highest level of theatrical brilliance at one of Broadway’s 40 professional theaters.
