      Head off to the city that never sleeps! Known as the financial hub of the world, New York City is the perfect place to hone your skills and gain knowledge as an international entrepreneur. Learn from some of the city’s brightest and most innovative business minds as you take in all that New York has to offer!

      Visit the Museum of American Finance to learn about the interconnectedness of global markets and how Wall Street shaped New York City into the financial capital of the world. Learn the history of New York, from the humble days as a Native American island to the global juggernaut of trade and commerce. Tour the facilities of the Newark Harbor and see first hand the massive infrastructure set in place for the enormous import and export industries.  

      Visit the United Nations Headquarters situated at its picturesque location beside the East River. Learn from experienced representatives working at the UN on topics related to international development. Learn of the United Nations’ changing role in the 21st century and its connection to the international business community.

      Explore the storied streets of Lower Manhattan as you take in the significance of Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange. Stand at Ground Zero and learn all about the history of the September 11 attacks, the rebirth of the One World Trade Center, and the construction of the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

      Your evenings will be full of entertainment, because no trip to the Big Apple would be complete without heading to a famous Broadway Show, the legendary Apollo Theatre, and the jazzy Cotton Club.

        Prerequisite: None

      *Credit granted by Halton Catholic District School Board and transferable to all Ontario schools.

      Note: For students planning on attending University or College in September of 2019, your BBB4M credit WILL be available for your April University or College application.

    • Mandatory Program Dates


      February 15, 2020: Online Access
      Students will receive an e-mail providing them with information on how to access the online learning platform and begin working on their pre-trip assignments. The pre-trip assignments are due during the first pre-trip class.

      February 29, 2020: Pre-Trip Face-to Face Class
      Students are required to attend the pre-trip class. They will submit the  pre-trip assignments, participate in all activities and complete all course tasks and assignments that are due by the end of the first class.

      March 7 and March 14, 2020: Pre-Trip Online Classes
      Students are required to individually complete and submit pre-trip assignments prior to departure.  Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours.

      March 15 to March 21, 2020: Travel Days
      Students are required to complete assignments as they visit sites and participate in the activities during the travel days.  Students are also required to collect information for their summative assignment throughout the trip. The summative assignments are due during the post-trip online classes.

      April 4, 2020: Post-Trip Online Class
      Students are required to complete and submit their summative assignment online. Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours.

    • Program Fees


      Register before June 1, 2019, to secure Early Bird Pricing for the 2020 travel dates!

      Early Bird Pricing: $1990.00 (quad occupancy; four students to a room and two students to a bed)

      Optional Private Bed Supplement: $500.00 (student receives their own private bed in a shared room)

      Deluxe medical and cancellation insurance (mandatory): $145.00.

      Registration Deadline – February 1st 2020 (Early Bird Pricing ends June 1st 2019)

      Please note: It is EduTravel and school board policy that all students travelling on extended trips have both cancellation and medical insurance in place. A specialized students insurance protection plan will be automatically added to the cost of the program fee upon registration. Please know there is an option to opt out of the insurance policy by completing and returning the “Insurance Opt-Out Form” along with proof of valid insurance coverage from another source. 

      Visa Students may be required to pay an additional fee. Please contact the EduTravel office for more information.
