      Fly over to the birthplace of Western culture in one of the most historically rich and romantic countries in the world! Discover the architectural marvels of the Pantheon and the Colosseum. Tour the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Square. Head to Piazza Navona for the world’s best gelato and savour it on the Spanish Steps.  

      Explore the ruins of Pompeii buried in volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius over 1,900 years ago. Experience the Italian lifestyle along the Amalfi Coast and see the cliffs and shores of Sorrento, Positano, and Capri lined with bright multi-coloured houses. Continue on to Florence to admire Michelangelo’s David at the Galleria dell’Accademia and prepare an authentic Italian meal in an evening cooking class.

      Fall in love with the beautiful coastal villages of Cinque Terre in the Italian region of Liguria. Stop in Verona for a visit to the backdrop of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Finish your trip in Venice and explore the countless canals and bridges.

    • Mandatory Program Dates

      May 11, 2019: Orientation & First Class
      • Parents and students are required to attend the morning program orientation.  Only students are required to attend the afternoon introductory class.  Students will be granted access to the online course and are required to complete and submit the pre-trip assignments prior to departure.
      June 30 to July 21, 2019: Travel Days
      • Students are required to complete assignments as they visit sites and participate in the activities during the travel days.  Students are also required to collect information for their summative assignment throughout the trip.

      Program Cost: $6290.00

      Deluxe medical and cancellation insurance (mandatory) $269.00

      Please note: It is EduTravel and school board policy that all students travelling on extended trips have both cancellation and medical insurance in place. A specialized students insurance protection plan will be automatically added to the cost of the program fee upon registration. Please know there is an option to opt out of the insurance policy by filling and returning in the “Insurance Opt-Out Form” along with proof of valid insurance coverage from another source.
