      While in New York City, leave the United States borders and enter international territory as you visit the United Nations Headquarters. Here you’ll gain the tools needed for Global Citizenship. End your trip off with an exciting Broadway Show in New York City!

      *Credit granted by EduTravel Private School 

      EduTravel Private School has been granted the authority to issue credits as per the Ontario’s Ministry of Education.  All students will receive a report card upon completion of the course.  All credits issued by EduTravel Private School are transferable to any Ontario School Board or Private School.

      • Integrated Civics and Careers Grade 10 (CHV2O and GLC2O)*
      • Civics Grade 10 only (CHV2O)*
      • Careers Grade 10 only (GLC2O)*

      Prerequisite: None

      *French Immersion and Extended French options are available. A minimum of 10 students registered for are needed to run the French Civics & Careers program*

      Grade 9 students must register for the Integrated Civics and Careers Course (Grade 8 students must have permission to reach ahead from their receiving high school prior to registration. Please call the office for more details).

    • Mandatory Program Dates

      July 23, 2019: Online Access
      Students will receive an e-mail providing them with information on how to access the online learning platform and begin working on their pre-trip assignments.  The first two pre-trip assignments are due during the first pre-trip class.

      August 6 to August 9, 2019: Pre-Trip Classes
      Students are required to attend all pre-trip classes.  They will submit the first two pre-trip assignments, participate in all activities and complete all course tasks and assignments that are due before departure.

      August 10 to August 16, 2019: Travel Days
      Students are required to complete assignments as they visit sites and participate in the activities during the travel days.  Students are also required to collect information for their summative assignment throughout the trip.  The summative assignments are due during the post-trip online classes.

      August 19 and August 20: Post-Trip Online Class
      Students are required to complete and submit their summative assignment online. Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours. 

    • Program Fees

      Program Cost: $1700.00 (Quad occupancy; four students to a room, two students to a bed).

      Optional Private Bed Supplement $400.00 (student receives their own private bed; this is NOT a private room).

      Deluxe medical and cancellation insurance (mandatory): $135.00.

      Please note: It is EduTravel and school board policy that all students travelling on extended trips have both cancellation and medical insurance in place. A specialized student insurance protection plan will be automatically added to the cost of the program fee upon registration. Please know there is an option to opt out of the insurance policy by completing and returning the “Insurance Opt-Out Form” along with proof of valid insurance coverage from another source. 

      Optional Pre-Trip Lodging: For an additional $650.00, students can stay overnight in downtown Toronto during pre-trip classes. Breakfasts, dinners, evening activities, adult supervision, and four nights of accommodations are included.

      Visa Students may be required to pay an additional fee. Please contact the EduTravel office.

    Travel Dates:  Saturday, August 10 to Friday, August 16, 2019
    Post-Trip Online Classes: Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20, 2019

     *Pre-trip lodging available at an extra cost of $650.00 for out-of-town students
