      Open to ALL Ontario Grade 8 and High School Students!

      Grab a compass as you head North and learn how to navigate your way through nature. Acquire the skills you need to master the great outdoors as you learn essential camping skills and shelter building techniques in preparation for your camping trip.  Here you will focus on forest management, sustainability, and mapping as you explore the natural beauty of camping in Ontario.

      Journey over to the planetarium at Science North and feel like you’re flying among the stars and planets of our solar system. Take part in experiments about climate and learn about freshwater ecology.

      Visit Dynamic Earth in Sudbury where you will gain a better understanding of the mining process and pollution solutions. Venture to the heart of the Great Lakes of Canada and explore the unique scenic region of Manitoulin Island. Continue your exploration to the spectacular Bruce Peninsula where the vivid cliffs and rocky land are home to many reptiles and wildlife.

      End your adventure off in the heart of downtown Toronto and enjoy the many attractions this rich and diverse city has to offer!

        *Grade 8 students must obtain permission to reach ahead from their current elementary principal to participate in this program.

      *Credit granted by EduTravel Private School or Simcoe County District School Board. Credits are transferable to all Ontario schools.

      EduTravel Private School has been granted the authority to issue credits as per the Ontario’s Ministry of Education.  All students will receive a report card upon completion of the course.  All credits issued by EduTravel Private School are transferable to any Ontario School Board or Private School.

    • Mandatory Program Dates


      June 22, 2019: Orientation & First Class
      Parents and students are required to attend the morning program orientation. Only students are required to attend the afternoon introductory class. Students will receive information on how to access the online learning platform and begin working on their pre-trip assignments.

      July 7 to July 19, 2019: Travel Days
      Students are required to complete assignments as they visit sites and participate in the activities during the travel days.  Students are also required to collect information for their summative assignment throughout the trip.  The summative assignment is due during the post-trip online class.

      July 22, 2019: Post-Trip Online Class
      Students are required to complete and submit their summative assignment online. Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours.

      Students are required to complete and submit their summative assignment online. Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours.

    • Program Fees


      Program Cost: $1990.00 (Quad Occupancy: four students to a room; two students to a bed)

      Deluxe medical and cancellation insurance (mandatory) add $89.00

      Registration Deadline – May 30th 2019

      Please note: It is EduTravel and school board policy that all students travelling on extended trips have both cancellation and medical insurance in place. A specialized student insurance protection plan will be automatically added to the cost of the program fee upon registration. Please know there is an option to opt out of the insurance policy by filling and returning in the “Insurance Opt-Out Form” along with proof of valid insurance coverage from another source. 

      Visa Students may be required to pay an additional fee. Please contact the EduTravel office.
