COURSE OVERVIEW


Experience the unique beauty of Ontario while studying Canadian Geography this summer. Learn about forest management, sustainability, and mapping as you explore dense forests, limestone caves, and shimmering lakefronts. Try your hand at archery,paddle boarding, kayaking, and a rope course.
Journey to the planetarium at Science North to participate in experiments about climate and learn about freshwater ecology.Venture to the unique scenic region of Manitoulin Island and the rocky cliffs of Bruce Island Peninsula. End your adventure off in the heart of downtown Toronto and enjoy the many attractions this rich and diverse city has to offer!

TWO NIGHT CAMPING EXCURSION
Enjoy beautiful hikes and nightly s’mores with your new friends.

KAYAKING
Paddle out onto the glittering blue water of Lake Couchiching.

DYNAMIC EARTH
Go underground and discover Northern Ontario’s geological and mining history.

BRUCE PENINSULA
Climb a 20-metre tower for an unbeatable view of the cliffs.

MANDATORY DATES

Online Orientation and First Class
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students will meet following the orientation for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.

(approx 10 hours)
*in total to be completed at any convenient time of the student’s choice
Independent Learning Online
Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.

Travel
Experience the course firsthand and make real world applications.

Post-Trip Online Classes
Teachers and students will interact in mandatory online classes to complete their final assignments.
