COURSE OVERVIEW


Visit stunning destinations across Western Canada while studying Biology. Our adventure begins in Vancouver with visits to world class museums and stunning botanical gardens.
We’ll enjoy fresh mountain air in Squamish and in Revelstoke before visiting Banff National Park and making our way to our final destination of Calgary.

BEATY BIODIVERSITY MUSEUM
Explore the museum’s spectacular biological collections, with 20,000 square feet of exhibits, from insects to birds!

SEA TO SKY GONDOLA
Take in stunning views of Howe Sound before enjoying all the summit has to offer.

BC WILDLIFE PARK
Home to nearly 200 animals and 65 different species that are native to British Columbia.

BANFF NATIONAL PARK
Visit Canada’s first National Park where Rocky Mountain peaks, turquoise glacial lakes, and abundant wildlife come together.

TELUS SPARK SCIENCE CENTRE
Learn about science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on exploration of exciting exhibits.

MANDATORY DATES

Online Access
Students receive access to the online learning platform and will begin working on their introductory assignments.

June 4
Orientation and First Class
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.

June 4 – July 3
Introductory Independent Learning Online
Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.

July 4 – July 8
Pre-trip Online Classes (Synchronous and Asynchronous)
Teachers and students will interact online as students participate in direct teaching, group activities, discussions and presentations.

Each day is thoughtfully planned to provide an unforgettable adventure that will teach lessons about the course, individuals and the world around.

MORNING ROUTINE
Students gather for breakfast and to
review the day’s itinerary.
MORNING EXCURSION
The group visits the Beaty Biodiversity Museum.
LUNCH & FREE TIME
Free time for lunch and shopping at Granville Island.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITY
Explore the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
LATE AFTERNOON
Class discussion on biodiversity.
DINNER
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
EVENING
Students return to the hotel for the evening.
