Social Justice and Tolerance in Central Europe
COURSE OVERVIEW

Students will come together to study historical atrocities and make plans for a better tomorrow. Learn about Hitler’s rise to power in Nuremberg before visiting the bustling city of Berlin, filled with punk music, doner kebabs, and graffiti. Walk alongside the Berlin Wall, once a tool of division and now a sign of reunification.
Explore Poland’s scenic countryside, including the rebuilt Old Warsaw and the medieval town square in Krakow. Together we will share a moment of silence at the former Nazi Concentration Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, where over one million innocent people were murdered.
