Canadian History In France – Grade 10 (August) 2022: For-Credit Student Trips

Canadian History In France

COURSE OVERVIEW

We were brought to tears when we were able to visit the graves of the soldiers we researched before travelling.

Watch Canadian History come to life in Belgium and France. Learn about WWI at the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, feel national pride at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, and lay a wreath during the Menin Gate Ceremony. Travel to Dieppe for the Dieppe Memorial and Juno Beach Centre, which commemorate the thousands of Canadian lives lost during WWII..

Learn about the fragility of peace at Caen Memorial and the Canadian War Cemetery. Fall in love with the cobblestone streets, the macarons, the art and architecture of Paris. Traipse the narrow streets of the Latin Quarter and see pure opulence at Palace of Versailles before returning home.
