COURSE OVERVIEW


Enjoy the warm climate and captivating beauty of the South Pacific as you investigate interactions between natural systems and human systems in Fiji. This tight-knit community works together to keep their extensive coral reef ecosystem thriving as it provides beneficial opportunities for all Fijian communities.
Assist in a coral replantation project with an environmental officer, hike through a rain forest village, and visit Levuka, the old capital of Fiji and Fiji’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the nature of Fiji as you swim through natural water holes at Colo- I-Suva Rain forest National Park.

Experience working in real life coral reefs and helping create new life.

Work side by side with professional researchers in the real world.

MUD POOLS

Students explore the Fijian way of life.

Students receive access the online learning platform and will begin working on their pre-trip assignments.

Students and teachers meet to go over course expectations, travel details, and important learning concepts.

Pre-Trip Online
Teachers will be available to answer any questions during designated hours while students complete pre-trip assignments.

Post-Trip Class
Teachers are available to answer any questions during designated hours while students complete their summative assignments.

Each day is thoughtfully planned to provide an unforgettable adventure that will teach lessons about the course, individuals and the world around.

MORNING ROUTINE
Students gather for breakfast and to
review the day’s itinerary.
MORNING EXCURSION
The group visits the Garden of the Sleeping Giant
and learns about photosynthesis.
LUNCH & FREE TIME
Students break for lunch.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITY
Students enjoy Mud Pools and team building activities.
