• World Religions

Please check back in the fall for 2019 travel dates and details!

Sponsored by the Halton Catholic District School Board

Experience the beauty and diversity of our multi-faith global community as you examine first-hand a variety of religious traditions practiced in Toronto and New York City.  Conduct an inquiry into the world’s religions, particularly Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Spiritualities, through visiting genuine places of worship, examining religious artifacts, observing religious practices, and engaging in discourse on religious perspectives.

Visit museums, the reflection pools at the 9/11 memorial site, and the United Nations to develop knowledge which will enable you to understand more clearly how the world’s religious affairs impact secular society. As you witness the basic similarities and differences between the religious traditions, through a variety of interactive and engaging activities, you will cultivate the skills needed to encounter diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences with acceptance and familiarity.
