• The New Yorker

Open to ALL Ontario High School Students!

      New York City

The New Yorker is all about exploring the many different arts, events, and attractions that symbolize New York City at its best. Don’t worry, it is not required that you have an arts background to enjoy this course. As this is an Interdisciplinary Studies Credit (IDC), you will experience the personal, social, and cultural elements of the arts in New York City.

Before the bus hits the road to the Big Apple, learn about the elements of Hip Hop and try their hand at mixing tracks with one of Toronto’s up-and-coming artists. Choose and create a social media profile for a world-famous artist that has hit the stage at the famed Apollo Theatre. Write a performance review after you dance the night away with a live performance at the Cotton Club, where legendary Tom Jones tuned up with the house band.
