      Through interactive and engaging activities, discover your true strengths as a learner and begin to envision your academic and professional career. Develop into a model student as you create an impactful resume and cover letter to put yourself in position for great future education and professional opportunities.

      Learn about civic importance and sacrifices made by Canadians at the War Museum in Ottawa. Visit the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Toronto and learn what stages a bill must go through before it can become a law in our province. Explore the rich heritage of the Six Nation’s Grand River Reserve while enjoying the culture, customs, and crafts of Canada’s Indigenous peoples. Tour University campuses and begin to envision the reality of post-secondary life and work with Ontario’s premier Careers/Guidance based websites and resources.

      Integrated Civics and Careers Grade 10 (CHV2O and GLC2O)*

      Prerequisite: None

      * French Immersion and Extended French Civics and Careers are also available through the EduTravel Private School and Toronto District School Board.

      Note: Two weeks prior to the program’s start date, registered students and parents will receive start up information directly from their teacher. This information will include how to access the course outline, pre-trip assignments, program itinerary, packing list, media release form, and other pertinent documents for signature. Your teacher will be available through email to answer any curriculum questions.

      Grade 9 students must register for the Integrated Civics and Careers Course.

      Optional Private Bed Supplement add $300
      Cancellation Insurance add $100
      Out of Province/Country Health Insurance add $20.00

      Please note: It is EduTravel and school board policy that all students travelling on extended trips have both cancellation and medical insurance in place. A specialized students insurance protection plan will be automatically added to the cost of the program fee upon registration. Please know there is an option to opt out of the insurance policy by filling and returning in the “Insurance Opt-Out Form” along with proof of valid insurance coverage from another source.
