• Canadian Geography – August

Collingwood, Orillia, Algonquin, Sudbury, Tobermory and Toronto

Open to ALL Ontario Grade 8 and High School Students!

Grab a compass as we head east and learn how to navigate your way around while kayaking through Lake Couchiching. Discover first-hand the skills you need to master the great outdoors as you will learn proper camping techniques and shelter construction to help prepare for your canoe trip in Algonquin.  Here you will focus on forest management, sustainability, and mapping as you explore the natural beauty of the first provincial park in Ontario. Blast over to the planetarium at Science North and feel like you are flying beneath our solar system. Participate in climate experiments and learn about freshwater ecology. While in Sudbury, visit Dynamic Earth where you will gain a better understanding of mining design and pollution solutions. Venture to the heart of the Great Lakes of Canada and explore the unique scenic region of Manitoulin Island. Next, you’ll journey to the spectacular Bruce Peninsula, where the vivid cliffs and rocky areas are home to many reptiles and wildlife. If that wasn’t enough adventure, head to Toronto to explore the diversity of culture and customs and take in the Rogers Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto and enjoy some of the many attractions that the city has to offer.
