COURSE OVERVIEW
Experience the unique beauty of Ontario while studying Canadian Geography this summer. Learn about forest management, sustainability, and mapping as you explore dense forests, limestone caves, and shimmering lakefronts. Try your hand at archery,paddle boarding, kayaking, and a rope course.
Journey to the planetarium at Science North to participate in experiments about climate and learn about freshwater ecology.Venture to the unique scenic region of Manitoulin Island and the rocky cliffs of Bruce Island Peninsula. Orientation and First Class
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.
June 24 – August 9, 2021
Introductory Independent Learning Online
Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.
August 9-13, 2021
Pre-trip Online Classes (Synchronous and Asynchronous)
Teachers and students will interact online as students participate in direct teaching, group activities, discussions and presentations.
August 23 & 24, 2021
Post-Trip Online Dates
Teachers are available to answer any questions during designated hours while students complete their summative assignments.
